Senior Meals The Senior Meals Program provides eight (8) congregate meal sites for anyone 60 years or older. The Senior Meals program is funded by the Central Illinois Agency on Aging and sponsored by the Community Action Agency. Residents residing in the buildings that serve as meal sites are also eligible to receive a meal regardless of age.

All meals have the recommended daily allowances and are approved by a registered dietitian. In addition to nutritious meals, seniors can take part in leisure activities, blood pressure screenings offered by the Red Cross and they may also seek resources provided by the CAA.

The Senior Meals program receives nutrition education programs from the Peoria County Cooperative Extension Service, showing seniors how to prepare nutritious meals and snacks at home. Seniors living outside Peoria County are also eligible for the Senior Meals program. There is no cost, but monetary donations are appreciated.
