Foster Grandparent
Program Foster Grandparent Program
provides intergenerational opportunities for seniors age
60 and above to"at risk" children in schools,
hospitals, drug treatment
centers,
Head Start and Early Head Start Centers, and child development
centers. The heart of the program is the one-on-one daily
attention the Foster Grandparents provide. In improving
the lives of the children they serve, Foster Grandparents
also profoundly enrich their own lives.
Foster Grandparent Program is sponsored
by Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity,
Inc. The Foster Grandparent Program is funded by the Corporation
for National and Community Service/Senior Corps, and the
Illinois Department on Aging.
