A
Message from the President/CEO
Mr. McFarland A. Bragg II
Community Action recently celebrated 40
years of service to the citizens of Peoria County. Because
abject poverty continues to exist in this land of plenty,
as evidenced by the events resulting from the Hurricane
Katrina disaster, the need for community action strategies
continues to exist. To continue our self-sufficiency, community
and economic development efforts, PCCEO will continue to
strive for and be known as:
A
leader in innovation and the use of creative solutions;
- A well directed and professional organization
continually focused on identifying and gathering resources
for organizational development and growth;
- A highly efficient and effective organization
advocating for the interests of those served and for a
higher quality of life within the area;
- Highly sophisticated in the uses of technology
and its value in advancing institutional purposes;
- An agent for positive change;
- Employee oriented an a good place to
work and earn a living;
- A self-sufficient and financially responsible
organization;
- A catalyst for partnering and collaboration.
To help us achieve our Vision, we will
engage in Community Action’s Pathways to Excellence
Initiative. Through this process, we will establish
a framework that will create an integrated systems approach
to:
-
Determine the purpose
and direction of the organization;
-
Determine how data
and information are aggregated, analyzed, distributed,
and used to determine progress and inform all aspects
of the organization’s operations;
-
Determine the efficiency
and effectiveness of the organization’s people
and processes;
-
Focus on the “bottom
line” and whether the organization is progressing
toward its mission and achieving its intended outcomes
and results.
Asante Sana,
McFarland A. Bragg II
